Tobias Zech

SENIOR PARTNER

With more than 20 years of management experience in administration, politics and industry, Tobias Zech is a founding member and Managing Director of BECEPTUM as well as senior partner at BECEPTUM Central Europe. Tobias supports our clients in setting up and running international business operations, developing business models, designing corporate sales structures and managing challenging ecosystems.

Before founding BECEPTUM in autumn 2019, Tobias was a senior Manager in international strategy & marketing at Airbus Group. From 2013 to 2017, when Tobias was elected a member to the German Bundestag, he was a member of the Committee on Labour and Social Affairs and the Committee on Economic Cooperation and Development. At the international level, Tobias was a member of the German delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), where he was Vice-Chairman of the EPP Group, Chairman of the Sub-Committee on the Europe Prize, and a member of several committees.

Prior to his political career in the German Bundestag, he worked in human resources policy at EADS/Airbus in Munich. He then became the Commercial Manager of the Ludwig Bölkow Campus for Space, Aerospace and Security, a high-tech innovation incubator with international companies and projects ranging from materials science to artificial intelligence. Until the foundation of Beceptum, he worked as a senior manager in the international strategy and marketing organisation of EADS/Airbus.

He has been a member of the town council of Garching an der Alz since 2002 and a member of the district council of Altötting since 2014. From 2002 to 2010, Tobias was a regular soldier in the Mountain Engineer Battalion.

He has been awarded the German Federal Cross of Valour and the Hungarian Knight's Cross.
