Péter Törcsi was born in Budapest in 1984. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Szeged. Over the past decade and a half, he has gained a wealth of experience in political and business consulting as well as corporate management.
Since 2021, he has chaired the Board of Trustees of the Oeconomus Economic Research Foundation, which conducts research and analysis on national and international economic processes and geopolitics. Also, he is a founding member and partner of Beceptum Central Europe Ltd. Since 2018, he has been the owner and CEO of ClavisConsulting Ltd.
Since 2018, he has been a member of the Supervisory Board of the Lechner Knowledge Center, which acts as a supporting institution of the Prime Minister's Office and deals with spatial data and spatial IT. Since 2020 he is the chairman of the board.
From 2010 to 2014 he worked as a legal and policy advisor at the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice and the Office of the Hungarian National Assembly.
He is a founding member of one of Hungary's leading conservative research institutes, the Center for Fundamental Rights, where he currently serves as Deputy Director General in charge of operations.
He regularly publishes in Hungarian and English legal and political journals, is a frequent guest on television and radio programmes and has co-authored and co-edited several books and publications. He speaks English and German.
